Pedant note:
The Petzl device being tested in those videos is not the Petzl Connect Adjust, but the Petzl Evolv Adjust which is explicitly not PPE i.e. not a personal anchor but is only positioning equipment. All the diagrams in the manual will show a belay system being used with the Evolv (e.g. it is never trusted as your 'safety' attachment) because it is intended for aid climbing. As far as I know the metal bits are the same; the only difference is that one strand of a twin rope is used rather than a fatter bit of dynamic like in the Connect Adjust so it doesn't quite meet the required standards (you are only supposed to use twin rope in pairs, unlike a single/half rope where using one strand is OK).
Also even with the Connect Adjust you aren't 'supposed' to climb above your anchor i.e. have the possibility of a fall factor > 1.
That said, it's _probably_ fine and seems to do OK in the video (just don't quote me on that)...
