Petzl Duo Z2 headlamp - any drawbacks as a caving headlamp?

My old Petzl Ultra has done it's time and I'm looking at replacing it. I've been looking at a Petzl Duo Z2 as I don't need thousands of lumens for the sort of caving that I do. Does anyone have any experience of them please or has seen any helpful reviews?

Just need something that can be taken on and off different caving helmets and can be used off a helmet at times. Needs to be robust, not too heavy and reasonably waterproof for general wet cave use/the odd short immersion (but no diving going on with it).

Thanks,

Jules

There are plenty of other threads about lighting on here - many recommending the two companies mentioned by Alan

Thanks for those recommendations; will definitely consider them. Still interested in any real-world experience of the Petzl Duo Z2 if anyone has used one?

Hey Jules.

I've not used one myself but been in the company of others who do use them (it's a centre lamp - very Gucci). They'll do everything you want from a lamp, very bright etc.

We have been caught out with battery life once or twice when we expected a longer burn time, but they are AA so easy to carry extras.

I find the reactive face thing annoying but I am a grumpy old man...
