Petzl Transport or Beast Big Daddy

I am looking for a really big tackle bag, partly to shove caving kit in when in the car, partly so I can carry a full tackle bag + oversuit + srt kit in one bag for those long walks to caves, and partly because bags that everyone says take 100m of rope only really take 80 and I would like to have the option of something bigger.

At the moment the two I am considering are the Big Daddy by Beast and the Transport by Petzl, problem is the lack of information, anyone know W x L x H of both bags? Any other information that would help with the decision would be appreciated.

The Beast bag is ?25 cheaper than the petzl, so that is weighing on my mind.

Cheers

I'd definatley go with the Beast bag. Took some on exped last month and they were fantastic. Can pack loads in there and they are very good quality, not to mention their prices compared with Petzl.

Besides, support a British company!  :coffee:

I've used Petzl bags for quite a long time but was converted to using the beast bags when I took one out to the Vercors over the summer.  Very very good quality and buch better to carry than the petzl bags.  And, as an added bonus - quite a bit cheaper.  I'd definetely go for the Beast bag everytime.

Best tackles sacks currently available without a doubt.

The Big Daddy is a bit bigger than the old Dragon Hirlatz bags with a removable padded waist belt, padded shoulder straps and a skirt...I think. I'm very happy with my smaller Beast Mummy bag.

Email Beast and they will send you more details and pictures.
