Last year i went twice with Robbie Shone to a southerly lead from Mud Hall up Pilkington's Series, Peak Cavern. We were blasting a small vadose trench behind which we could see a large void. After 4 pills we still didn't manage to get into it.
Yesterday me, Katie Dent, Dave Harley and Dennis Jump went up there from TITAN. A hilti cap on the lefthand wall saw Katie through and down a ladder into a 10m high aven, of which we were in the middle. At the bottom 10m of stooping passage leads off to a narrow calcited rift which has a voice connection to one of the lower pilkington pitches. Another hilti cap enabled her to get out of the vertical squeeze and i had a look. Freeclimbing the aven lead to an 8m across, 1.5m high chamber with prestine mud formations and plenty of short straws. It has a completely flat roof, just like mud hall, and no other ways on could be seen.
The ladder was derigged, access is only possible to the very small.
