Yes it was really good. There were some interesting talks, good music, and I met Wolfart. There seemed to be a lack of heavy drinking though...

Thats a good idea!

It was supposed to be in Derbyshire next year but it has fallen through, they said at the end they will find a new venue soon....

It would be rather nice if it did end up being in Derbyshire/buxton since its the Eldons 50th anniversary next year and we'll be having a big bash to celebrate at some stage.

This was my first Hidden Earth and I was really impressed with the organisation, content, weather, and on and on. Brilliant weekend, and I hope I can get to the next one.

Have you mentioned that idea to the Hidden Earth organisers?

Amazing talks and derbyshires own..... Mr Shone swept the floor in the photo competitions.

I went to see a talk on the Philippines, caving looked excellent and the locals very hospitable if you look hungry they will bbq a dog for you.

There was also a chance to was out your caving wetsuit in the school swimming pool with the try cave diving.

Robbie Shone's pics are excellent, I think his Titan pic (as seen on the cover of Descent) is absolutely fantastic.

I liked Gavin Newman's film of Wookey, very well made, fantastic footage and very informative.

Hope everyone found the Crown in Churchill The best pub in the Mendips. I forgot to recommend it before the weekend.
