Potential rock movement in Notts 2 (Committee Pot)

Hi, I was in Notts 2 last night and spotted this crack/gap at the bottom of the second pitch before the squeeze. Maybe it has always been like this and I’ve not noticed before, hopefully someone on here may know. Better to check!

Will 🙂

Can't comment on specifics (as I wasn't involved in installing that scaff. But it looks like the gap was used to stick the end of that diagonal scaff pole into, which would mean the gap must have been there when the scaff was first fitted. Did you spot any scratch marks, bits of sharp edged rock splinters on the floor, or other signs of movement? How did the suspect block sound if tapped with the heel of the hand?

But you're absolutely right to flag any such concerns up on here, so thanks for that.

No scratch marks or any signs of obvious movement, clearly it is a very large boulder so I was unable to move it at all. A slight vibration with a tap test but again nothing major. Perhaps it has always been there, at least now people can keep an eye out just in case
