I am mine explorer as well, but here goes:
How long have you been caving? > First underground 1964
What is your typical caving trip like? > Mine exploring, mainly upright with some crawls and deep water
Why do you go & what do you get out of it? > Dont know
Who goes caving? > Mainly solo
How long underground do you typically spend? Usually 3 -4 hours, but sometimes all day
What was your best experience of caving? > Digging through to unexplored workings
What was your worst experience of caving? > Being buried alive
What equipment do you typically bring? > Usual lamp and helmet, recently found a lot of trips can be done in waders
What do you do about food during caving expeditions? > Sandwiches
Why do you choose this food? E.g. performance, pleasure, necessity > Bacon is done as part of the breakfast fry up
Would you consider eating a bigger meal underground? > Yes
Would you want the meal to be warm? > It would be nice
Do you ever use open flames underground? > Have done
If a caving stove was available for cooking underground, would you use it? > It would have to be small, light, very tough, and efficient
How much would you be prepared to pay for it? > Depend on how good it is, compare with price of the small specialised Colemans and similar for backpackers?
