Provisional Members' Weekend

This weekend (17th/18th Jan) saw Penwyllt host a Provisional Members' Weekend, with the aim of encouraging and welcoming some of our newer members, and it was a great success. Thanks to Lizzy for her efforts in arranging everything, to Lel for the catering, and to all those who gave up their time to lead trips. The three new members that I took on Sunday said they'd had a great time, and they'll certainly be back.

There's a lot we can learn here about how to encourage and foster the next generation of cavers and there will certainly be further such events...Lizzy already has a list of names, some of whom couldn't make this weekend. I heard nothing but positive comments about the whole thing and it was great to see so many new faces being made welcome at the club. Here's to the next one!

Unfortunately i had to miss this weekend due to the sad loss of my close friend and Brother-in-law but God willing I,ll be at the next and hopfully i,ll be about to talk someone to take me round the clubs caves in between

I'm Glad all went well but gutted i wasn't there to enjoy it

Hi guys, sorry for not replying to this earlier but only just regained internet access

I had a great time and really cant wait to go again. A huge thankyou to everyone who welcomed me and gave me such a great weekend.
