Hi Folk, I've a trip tomorrow into Queens Mine via Gentlewomans.  Not sure what to expect so just after a bit of info. if anyone has a minute or two!?!  Ian, who's sorting the day out has been here before so we be ok, just like to do a bit of home work myself before a trip and never know but might be able to help out somewhere!!  All I can find is Jasons' trip report which is a good read but was 5 years ago!  Hope it's a cool wet trip as have spent the last week sat in a digger surrounded by glass gettting slowly frazzled by the sun!! Feel like an ant under a magnifying glass.  Bring on the underground!! Have good weekend all.

Looking forward to the trip and thanks in advance for any gen.

Its a fun trip. Nowt too demanding but plenty to see. Route finding can be a bit confusing but just follow the most obvious muddy / worn route and you should be OK.  You will probably need to make use of Owd Gits lovely stainless trenching tools at the wet squeeze though but doesnt take long even to get fatties like OG and myself through.  Just make sure no one has stuck a picnic table on top of the cover if you are exiting via Youds though

Just back from Queens Mine Trip with Lincoln Caving Club. A great day out was had by all! Was on the road early this morning O.G. so just got your message! We've no problem with your request.  Found your info taped under the lid too on the way out! Thankyou for your efforts there.  Was a nice touch.  Quite an interesting read and will certainly be keeping it for reference as regards to future exploration in the area.

I certainly got my wish and was cooled off in the two little ducks.  Was quite refreshing actually after the entrance pitch and down-climbing. (And back up again after dropping tackle bag down the wrong route! Grr!!) The hoe made things easier for a couple of the lads and having brought one with us as well we could drag some gravel out from each side which speeded the job up a bit.  Amazed by the coffin level on the way out too, What a length!

Anyway, Thanks again and Kind Regards
