According to this site Harpur Hill-Buxton received just over 80mm of rain in 36 hours, and at castleton 64mm was recorded for the 48 hours and posted on

I do hope some of you found time to spot new resurgencies or sinks while all the rivers were in spate. I guess our dig will be on the damp side until next Easter now, unless it suddenly washes through of course!
