Stuck in n Wales in pissing rain. Have done croesor-rhosydd and cwmorthin. Any other good similar open access trips in the same area? Thanks.

Google 'Cave Access Ltd' for a bunch of easily accessible N Wales trips.

Glad you have "done" Croesor-Rhosydd and Cwmorthin
Some of us have been going in there for twenty years and still find new things to see and enjoy.
We must be simple folk.  :-\

Rhosydd is good too (you come out from CRTT but I bet you didn't explore it!)

.... I know Pete K was in there today (saw him at the top of an incline) but I am sure he didn't find the way up to the drum house in the east workings - that takes some investigation !

..... also, if you include "caves" you can opt for Poachers Cave (3-4 hours tops) or Ogof Hesp Alyn (100 yards away) which is a grade 5 and 11 hours if you want to try the whole trip (don't it is full of glacial cack)

;)

There is a whole load of info here;

(Cabin shaft -Minera would be a good one)

Good luck !  :doubt:

Thanks all for suggestions.  I only had an hour or two of wifi access last night and that was not enough time to arrange anything with Cave Access Ltd or similar. Also, as we were heading back South today we were not keen to go further north than where we were already (Croesor).  In the event the weather relented for a few hours and we did a circular walk up Cnicht, round to Rhosydd, over to Croesor and back down the track to our starting point, before the rain came in again.

However, we will return at some point and explore further. Agree, masses of Cwmorthin and C-R we did not see, and masses of what we did see we didn't understand and were not able to put into context.  Will try harder next time!
