• Tony is on holiday until Saturday 20th

This means that the Travelling Shop will be out of action for a week and any inquiries sent to him won't be picked up until he's back.

In the meantime the rest of the Starless River team will be hard at work ensuring online orders are posted out to you all. Thanks everyone.

  • Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

Rendering on a mobile

I've bought myself a shiny new HTC Desire (Android phone), and although the screen is reasonably big, it's a bit fiddly navigating the forum with all the screen furniture in place. I've discovered you can use a ?wap2 or ?imode switch at the end of the url to get rid of the furniture, but both these result in a page that is a bit too minimal. Is there another secret switch that is a little less minimal than the ?imode one.

The forum should detect that you're using a mobile device and display it to you via the Curve Mobile theme which is mobile optimized, rather than serving up the full size version.

Have a look at the screenshots on this page: http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=2035

Are you getting this theme served to your mobile?

If not, it's possible it doesn't detect Android devices by default and will need to be changed.

I wasn't but am now!! Don't know if you've tweaked anything or whether it was me, but that's much more manageable.

Cheers,

Robin
