You can still buy cassettes: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Guardians-Galaxy-Awesome-Vol-CASSETTE/dp/B00Q5F3AN8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1517530210&sr=8-1&keywords=awesome+mix+vol+1+cassette Yes I ordered one, so will fire up the old Technics tape deck when it arrives. I wonder what's also in the loft to dig out?
Maglite are still making and selling incandescent zombie thumpers http://maglite.com/shop/flashlights/full-size-flashlights/maglite-6-cell-d-flashlight.html#.WnOqsRRkiCQ (mines a red one but I added a 750 lumens Terralux LED that melts tungsten and eyeballs (yes I know there's now a 1000lumen one...and there's a bloke in the States that makes 5000 lumens ones)). Also have a ML25IT 2C cell incandescent which is actually quite nice.
Vinyl is still king.
So what remains is the carbide question: Is it possible to have a LED light to properly simulate a carbide light? Or (perhaps less possible unless Volkswagen make it) a less polluting carbide light?
