Small Mammal Pot

Anybody know this one? I've seen the stuff on Braemoors website but any further information gratefully received.

It's an alternative way into Bar Pot. Pitch is about 19 metres then there's some flat out muddy crawling if you want to get to the base of the normal entrance shaft. If you go there you have to pass through a feature called Flowstone Chamber - be careful not to smear the calcite with mud off your suit. Pitch itself is nice (but it's not necessarily any easier a way in than the standard route).

Keep wondering Rachel.....

PS Thanks Susie - I'd somehow missed that link and had just been reading the historical bit rather than the description - it gave me all the things I wanted to know!

Small Mammal here we come!!

I think that Mike Wooding and John Gardner are trying to establish a monopoly on small mammals in Gaping Gill - if I remember rightly, they named Mousehole Shaft, Mousehole Inlet, Hamster Aven, and Small Mammal Pot, and Mike Wooding has tried to take over Rat Hole.

Ticked this one off a couple of weeks ago - muddy and most definitely a harder way in than Bar Pot. We did SE Aven Alternative too and on into Henslers Master Cave. Doubt I'll be back in to Small Mammal in the near future!!
