Love the way that the indy version has the paramedic, who I believe was not a caver, running the show. The MCRO, some of whom only got home at 7am today were just incidental to the work of the HART team  :-[

Don't expect the media to undertsand cave or mountain rescue or how they work and you won't be surprised when the media gets their reporting wrong... sometimes even those who are present on a call-out don't have all the information relating to the incident.

According to BBC Radio 5 Live, the rescue was carried out by "Gloucester and South Wales Mines Rescue".

I can confirm that members of Gloucestershire Cave Rescue Group (GCRG) were in Attendance with others on Standby.

They've taken the time to get quotes from  the cave rescue side as well as the ambulance people.

My wife (a GCRG member) travelled up from south Wales for it while I stayed home with the kids.
