Just an idea. I'm looking for any guidebook relating to Spanish caves and printed in English, or maybe a Spanish guidebook which could be translated.

Thank you.
Sam.

PS plenty of free stuff is also available online
- Spain is a big place with lots of caving regions -so specifics would help get you the right stuff

-the most widely available guide is now available as a free series of pdf's
here

however it is a lovely book and well worth getting a proper hard-copy if you can

Thanks Beardy.

I'm based around Valencia, so I'm guessing majority of Limestone is down towards Alicante and futher south?

Hi Sam,

No there are plenty of caves & limestone near Valencia

There are a few reasonable trips in this awesome book
GRANDES CUEVAS Y SIMAS DEL MEDITERRANEO. GUIA FOTOGRAFICA
http://tiendaverde.es/ficha.php?id=1350&lang=en
(i've only done one of them Els Sumidors & it was a nice day out)
Sima de la Llenca de Serrano (Tous - Valencia)
Sima del Campillo (Tous - Valencia)
Els Sumidors (Vallada- Valencia)

The most worthwhile cave in the area looks to be (worth the drive)
Los Chorros
http://viniloasesino.dyndns.org/~granchaman/croquis/chorros/chorros2/chorros2.pdf

and yes plenty more down towards Alicante see

Sorry Beardy.

I didn't have time to post before I moved and have only now got internet access set up here. My girlfriend translated some of the guidebook, which clearly shows caves around and in the Valencian community. Didn't bring me gear out with me this time not to mention the fact that its to dam hot to do anything!!

Thanks for passing on the information.

Sam
