Stoke Traverse

In Stoke today with my Son & a few mates. When we got to the Traverse in Main Chamber noticed that it has been rigged with a Purple Dynamic rope ready for CowsTails. Is this part of the Taped route up to the Sump recently  :-\  Or did somebody run out of time on their Trip & mean to return later ?

Now that piece of Dynamic is interesting I'm not sure if I'd want to fall on it as the stretch would certainly give you a shock whether it would stop before hitting the Bouldery Floor  is another thought  :-\

Just before you do, remember BenM's thread a while ago when he got cross that someone removed his rope from Ladder Dig in GB.

Good point anne - thats why I was asking.  Having said that, there is no history of fixed rope in that location and it may encourage more traffic in an otherwise well preserved area, I guess if someone is digging up there somewhere then its kinda fair enough, maybe...  As for the marker tape - I only found it as far as trib passage in Stoke 1 - did you find any in 2 paul?

btw its been taking loads of water this week (still was this afternoon) since the rain on monday and tuesday, might be a bit dodgy down there at the mo  :-\

Bru - I think it might be worth bearing in mind that the membership of this forum only represents some 10% (or so) of the caving community - not everyone will read your question. Does sound like tat, though.

No Marker Tape just this Purple rope & Claire Tank still where we left it.
There's nowhere to dig up there just pristine formations at the moment 
Sundays trip wasn't particularly wet just Very Brown & Smelly Ala CowShit & what seemed like diced Carrots floating around in the Sump :yucky:

havent been in since you posted originally, the stream has looked a bit fierce recently.  Might well pop up later today or tomorrow to check water levels in one, but probably won't go through the sump as I'm likely to be on my own and feeling cowardly  will let you know how its looking.
