Swandike dead sheep

For anyone thinking of heading to Swandike it currently has a festering dead sheep residing in the entrance shaft. Think it might be a while before it’s worth going back.

Hi OwenPearce, thanks for posting this here (I believe our Secretary also might have met some of your group at Sell Gill and heard about this first-hand... unless the two reports are totally unrelated). We understand that the scaffolding in the entrance may also be in a particularly bad state too.

We have forwarded this to our conservation team for their awareness (some stockproofing of the entrance may be in order), and added a warning note to the CNCC webpage for Swan Dike Pot...

Although it sounds like a job that could benefit from the passage of some time before revisiting...
