    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

SWILDONS SUMP1 ROPE

The trip descriptions could end up interesting if Anne's suggestion is adopted, viz:

"At this point in the trip, Mike squeezed himself into Julia but made a hell of lot of noise and fuss as he did so; he needed several goes to force himself in her, yelling, huffing and sweating profusely as he did so".

Mind you, it would be worse if squeezes had chaps' names: especially if they were names often associated with limp wristed types.

One thing that has never failed to impress/amuse me is the potential for innuendo in caving trip writeups.
Sometimes I have to work hard to make a write-up not sound like badly-written porn, and at other times I just can't help myself.
I notice that quite a few regular posters on this forum have the same problem.  ;)

New sump 1 rope now installed and sign taken away from block house.

Stu.

Was that the HUGE, obvious, staring-you-in-the-face-at-the-entrance sign that some people couldn't see?

I do hope it was in Braille too for the partially sighted cavers  :spank:

(or those attempting to cave without lights)  :tease:

At the sports centre there's a braille sign saying "Entrance" but it's on a revolving door.

Also they've got a sign at reception saying "Reception" in braille. Thing is, surely you'd need to find Reception (with someone sat at it) first in order to be sure you'd found it.

Or am I missing something?

Caves already have braille signs - the walls. Problem is, very few people can read them.

Better still don't go caving at all and leave everything pristine for an elite few  :doubt:

No, it wasn't me really; it was just someone who looks like me. S'common mistake; easily made. There's a lot of cavers who look like me (lucky bastards, I say).
