Forgive my mild cynicism but is this an(other) example of cavers cocking up access to a (as yet undiscovered!) cave by upsetting the landowner?

It would be quite an embarrassment to lose access to something which hasn't been found yet.

Gentlemen , enough.

Cap'n C's cynicism could very easily become reality.

I don't think driving Dursdon Drove is legal any longer (there are exceptions - farm access etc) as the status of most of the byways and RUPPS changed a while ago with the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act meaning that it's no longer possible to drive a large number of unmade roads (including I think the unmade section of Eastwater Lane).  This means the only option for driving to Templetons is keeping on the right side of the landowner.

I've just been swimming,
it cost four quid!!

Why not swim in the river and save the four quid then. :-\
I'm sure four quid is value for money for the changing facilities, lifeguards and a heated all weather pool.  :coffee:

By-the-by: most pools have a monthly rate. I pay ?15 a month and can go any time that they are not running lessons. Ideal for swimming a K at lunchtime when they have a lane session. Go once a week and you are saving money!
(Mind you the four months before Christmas, when I was ill and didn't do any non-caving exercise, were a bit expensive!)

Well, isn't the dig now very dependant on the water being removed first?
My garden is a complete bog, sometimes my small pond covers the garden.
I was just interested in how you diggers now cope at Templeton.

Mick, don't you listen? I told you (via pm) that we are not pumping/digging at the moment at Templeton.  ;)

If you want to know more, send me a pm.

Hello, I was wandering if a trip could be arranged for a couple of newbies Tuesday (tomorrow) not 100% as I am being sent to north wales but should be back. It would be me and ruddy off c**tplaces, hes done a bunch of mines and his girlfriend who has only done goatchurch and box. I thought it would be a treat to see it. Only if your free though, we are doing Cuckoo Cleeves Tuesday night.

How many living animals have been found down there?; of what species?; ... and what were their names, paw sizes, colour, gender, state of agitation and general demeanor?
I don't think that paw size is particularly relevent.
More relevent would be
can they swim.
;)
