Just a big thanks to Ray from the Red Rose for lending me his helmet this weekend. I left my helmet and light at the Wheatsheaf but I was able to join my team to do a through trip from WW to Lancaster after Ray kindly lent me his lid.
Restoring my faith in humanity.

Wearing  Ray Duffy's helmet.... now that's a privilege!
Ray being the chief surveyor of the Lancaster Hole - East Gill system.
Did the helmet impart any special supernatural powers ?
You could have tried turning your lamp off and navigating just by feel.

I have never done the trip from WW to Lancaster  (I've done it the other way round ). Because of the helmet I was instinctively able to find the way through.


Or was it Chris and Phil 's navigation?
