Well we had been with NTLFreedom for about 4 years on di*l up (dont swear) but as they are no longer doing dial up come March 08 we had to look into different options.
We live too far away from civilisation to get proper landline based broadband (we're 4.5miles away from the exchange and BT have confirmed that we cant get BB via a landline) so we went with 3 and got one of their USB "dongles" which is a lot better than dial up (obviously) and gives us 3Gb per month data transfer for ?15 ( or ?10 for 1gb) It tends to be a bit intermittent but when it works its fab.
