Titan - Peak

Does anybody know the state of play with the boulder choke between Titan and Peak?  The last I heard it had become unstable.  Has it been remedied?  Are people doing the Titan Peak throughtrip?

Got to be prepared incase need to come back up titan if there was a problem, but I think it would take me about a week to get back up nearly 200M!

I was a bit worried about my abilities to do huge climbs too, but in reality, it wasn't so bad, with plenty of regular rest breaks and deep breathing! Haven't gone up Titan yet, but I've done a few 120m mine shaft climbs in around 40 mins, which astounded me, to be honest, given my lack of experience and strenuous exercise. I wasn't skipping around at the top, I can tell you, but it didn't take very long to recover either. I'd struggled at first, but then someone pointed out to me the rather obvious size differential between my thigh and bicep muscles, and that made me realise my technique was a little 'top-heavy' and things picked up immediately.

I find a little hyperventilation before startup works wonders too at getting past the stretchy 'bell-ringing' stage...;)

Why does everyone seem so intent on either going all the way down, or not bothering at all.  If its lousy weather and youve got the key but dont fancy getting piss wet through on bottom pitch and risk of it being sumped, pop down the the event horizon and go up the streamway. Great way to spend an afternoon.  (y)

I don't often read much on Horne's Gully either - from the Event Horizon, what's the best way to tackle this climb? And is there anything in place to help rigging-wise?

Fixed ropes are in place on the few sections that need it, most is just a relatively easy, bouldery climb. However it is EXTREMELY loose, and care should be taken. Do not go up there if people are below the event horizon!

It's interesting to note that at the top is the highest bit of Titan, only 5m or so from the surface.
