To bolt or not to bolt?

I beleive that there has been some problem with the P hangers gaining the ability to rotate a little.
This, i think , was limited to earlier resins. Also now in addition to the large dia hole that the leg of the P sits in, a groove is cut with a smaller dia drill bit into which the circle of the P sits and means it can't rotate.

I have been away again, so apologies for the lateness of this response.  The discussion document at http://british-caving.org.uk/?page=129 provides a history of the reported defects as well as a description of the tests which the standards require on anchors.  I will not deny you the opportunity of a good (well I am biased) read by summarising the details from the document.  Comments on the document are still welcomed by the way.

I have been "officially" trained to do so, however.

Oh jolly good, that's alright then. I just hope whoever "officially" trained you had some practical experience themselves.

... update. Some, a bit, tadski; probably adequate, average, par for the course, enough.
