been looking into a few BASE sites - looks like people have been base jumping this thing for ages

I remember a film were a guy had a mini parachute just the right size of a shaft he parachuted down. That would speed up doing down shafts.

How do they climb out, acenders!

On the Website mentioned by SamT the bloke says that they rappelled back out, clearly using some kind of clever anti gravity rappel device.
I have seen these people on TV before a few years ago and they used some kind of winch and bossuns chair set up, much like a big Gaping Ghyll winch meet.
