Hope this is the right place for this topic!.

I need to trace a possible leaking drain at work to see where and how the water is getting into one of my clients lift pits.

Where do I get hold of the tracing dye I've seen used to trace underground water courses?. Would somewhere like BAT products sell it?.

Plumbers merchants,PTS,Plumbase,Jayhards,Jewsons etc.

Although I don't know if dye will be of use in this instance,as it's
normally used for tracing where water is going to,not where it's coming from.

Possibly getting a sample analysed would be better,at least you'd have a
better idea if it's coming from the buildings waste system,or whether it's
groundwater seeping in.

Does the level vary with the weather, time of day, summer, winter etc ?

Flouroscene is what is commonly used. turns the water very bright green. I think its inert but i dont know if you'd want it in your buildings water supply.
