In 1939 Arthur Gemmell (of "Underground Adventure" fame, along with Jack Myers) was involved in making a survey of Douk Gill Cave at Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
Arthur was an NPC member but this club wasn't formed until 1946, so there isn't one in the NPC library.
I suspect he was with BSA members in those days.
Does anyone know if this survey is in any publication? It was around the time of the onset of war so may have been forgotten about with the nation suddenly facing the problems that created. But it may have been a stand alone survey, so could perhaps be lurking in a club library somewhere? Arthur was skilled at drawing so it's likely to be a good survey.
Can anybody help?
