Or is the website getting a bit swamped?
Seemed to go down for a bit there as well.
Reckon it's all that media interest from around the world. Hope you've got a big bandwidth allowance.

BTW, did you know that BBC have a link here from the news story? Fame at last.

Yeah - Im sure the Beeb link is helping.

The hits on the gallery photos for mexico went from about 30 to 1500 yesterday.

Got better there for a bit, then slowed up again.
What a fuss eh?
Charles and Malcolm from Brynmawr CC didn't get such a media frenzy when they got flooded into Carno. Mind you they were only in there overnight.

Should be fine - yesterday the site was being hit way more than today.

The gallery views have actually gone from about 1000 to (currently) 48,000 in two days, which is cool.

The bandwidth limit is nowhere near being reached yet, any slowdowns are probably due to general network traffic - I've not noticed the site being particularly slow today?

I noticed that...and the fact that they credited the picture to Reuters even though I specifically asked them to credit any pics to the expedition team.

Typical really.
Reuters did credit the team though, even if it comes out really dark.

No its not too slow, apears OK to me. Doing a great job on Cuetzalan.

For any Daily Express readers out there (sad folk), Dave Ormorod, Lee Cartlidge and myslef arn't down Alpazat despite the picture credits! Still great to be captioned as being
. Right cave just only 8 years or so out of date.

Best wishes to everyone in Mex and those looking after ukcaving.com
