unicycling in caves

Agree, Alex. I was doing a 60k offroad bike race in France recently, and a bloke passed me on a unicycle. Two thoughts sprang to mind:
1- fair play, mate
2- nutter!

Voted for by a swathe of media wankers?
Or not?

Just wondering if you use that choice of wording for everyone who disagrees with your point of view - or do you know them?

It was a question. Im not bothered if they agree with me or not.

I do however, use the wording for the 6 individuals i have met who work in tv/media. I wouldn't use it for everyone.

My opinion of the film is merely my opinion.

It's a film festival ? la Caan, more specifically it's an adventure film festival, so I hope the judges know something about film making and I would guess they probably know quite a lot about the difficulties of making adventure films.

The film in question, IMHO, is a bloody good effort at an adventure film, even though I feel the premise is a bit artificial, these guys can clearly make films.

Well, I don?t work in the ?media? and never have, so I have no axe to grind on that score, but I have had some dealings with media people, and I must say ? for what it?s worth ? that if all 6 media types you met were wankers, mr conners, then I think that you?ve been very unlucky.

For example, many years ago I was contacted by Border TV to do a short film on caving as part of their Adventure in Cumbria (or some such series). The guys who filmed us and interviewed us at Yordas Cave were excellent at their job, and very good to deal with.

The judges don't know enough not to encourage unicycling in caves!

That's a)subjective - some of us never had a problem with what these guys were doing and
b) irrelevant - whatever your opinion of the subject matter, it was a very slick, very well produced film.

Just wondering if there might be any truth in the rumour that the SWCC Committee is considering introducing family unicycling days in OFD as a means of attracting more provisional members?
