Vertical skills for UK?

Definitely a possibility. It is tied with static not dynamic rope, and currently attached via mallions to reduce bulk and weight as well as 'biners tend to move around a bit so I feel safer with the mallions since they won't crossload. I tie my qas cords to the length for max reach fully extended that I can still manage the cam on the ascender, however they are adjustable with a Blake hitch, like so:

More skills aquired =D

Right now I'm basically srt training in two veins. Alpine style (all this rebelay and deviation crap :p) and long rope. Long rope definitely is more immediate future with Whitesides (750ftish) coming up and then a bunch of huge stuff in Mexico (Golondrinas, etc) and with planning for Mexico I am more iffy on making it over again this year. Might be next but looks like I'll end up at El Cap next year so who knows (our vertical team only goes every 3 or so years to El Cap).

Enjoy Mexico.

Mate of mine back in the day was involved in the Systema Huatla explorations with AMCS (is that the correct initials? 1980's was toooo long ago) :)
