The worst of it seems to have missed the English East Midlands so far - touch wood.  Very strong blustery winds and heavy rain earlier today but it had more of less cleared by this afternoon, though still strong and gusty winds.

There is a warning for some snow in the Peak District tomorrow but I suspect that may be more for the Dark Peak area, i.e. Kinder and the high moors, rather than the White Peak.  Though the Castleton area may cop it - we'll see.

It's been snowing/hailing on and off for a few hours now, and there's more forecast for tomorrow morning so you may find the White Peak is exactly that...

From that Twitter thing...

Skyliner@skylinermcr?Feb 18This wall in Whalley Range has been falling down for a year or two. Nice to see the landlord of a historic rental property finally going all out. Yep, that should do it! 👏

I'm still wondering if it sits on the *outside* of the toilet according to the pic, how does it detect the motions? Surely it needs to be placed in the bottom of the pan?

It quickly scans and builds a 3D model of your ringpiece, and then interrogates the system for any topographical changes and initiates the circuit if so. It's quite a thing for ?4.99. I'm wondering though whether each dump will now be accompanied by the five tones and enormous lights blasting between my legs. "It is here."
