but it would be good to see it continue right through to the Speedwell streamway - not just to keep the crawl dry, but to make sure that there's no more disruption to the tailing/boulder stack.

That did occur to me too.  It wouldn't be too difficult to join on another length of pipe and route it all the way past the tailings / boulder stack.  I think that Henry was planning on replacing the black pipe that runs down Leviathan next since this has several breaks and is warn in other places making it not really economical to repair.
