Holy molasses!
Amazing photos, btw. I am jealous of that awesome photography. Beautiful captures! Ah what I could do with being brave enough to take a proper camera in a cave...(seriously though how did you keep it safe in that??!)

Also...you all...actually...go caving when it's like that? Here we'd be "hell no, that's not safe!" and turn around at least by the looks of things! Much braver than I, for sure.

That's crazily wet! Thanks for sharing the pics.

According to the grapevine, at least 2 teams turned back from Lancaster on Saturday because it was too wet to go down - there was about 2 inches of water going over the lid (iirc and my sources are correct)

Amy, the waterfall is in Bull Pot of The Witches. The cave is about 50m away from the caving hut we were staying in, so a grat opportunity for nighttime & drunktime caving :)
See http://tinyurl.com/6lcorcq, the cave is the "U-shape" feature at the bottom of the map.

Getting to the waterfall is generally a trivial job (apart from when the "path" to the cave gets a bit sodden and eroded and deadly), there is only a short passage/chimney to negotiate and it's usually completely dry. You just pop out in the open daylight chamber with the waterfall. We were having a jolly good time bashing around in high water (always in the daylight chamber) and pointing at bits of tree that were just about to fall, on our heads. I was personally clad in neoprene under the pvc undersuit and I wouldn't have liked it in any other way

Every other entrance within walking distance was wet/flooded/underwater

Some video of the same stuff:

Wet Farm.mov

The pitch at the end (Lancs) was filmed on Sunday - we failed to make it down Lancs on Saturday having met two other groups on the walk over who had also turned back. The little gorge just below the bridge downstream of the County entrance (I forget the name) was very impressive!
