Queen’s University Belfast Caving Club are hosting another webinar 🗣 over MS Teams as part of our “Caving Education Drive”

Our very own Alexander Allenby will be speaking on Monday 4th December at 7:30pm.

It promises to be an engaging talk, hope you all can make it, please feel free to share!

Talk Title:
Life without Light: Microbiology in Cavesl

Description:
Caves represent some of the most isolated and extreme environments accessible to humans. The absence of light below the surface means cave ecosystems have to rely on alternative sources of energy to survive. Here I will present my research on the microbiology of caves and the unique Movile cave ecosystem.

Bio:
Microbiology PhD student at QUB, occasional caver.

If you have any questions feel free to comment or email caving@qub.ac.uk.
