So confident am I of the location above, I'm going to post the next picture without Skippy's acknowledgement.

This morning's run took me past the well known view point in the picture below. It was a beautiful morning and quiet up there as I arrived. I noticed someone had attached a poppy to the trig point. It reminded me on this important day that, despite those seeking to disturb proceedings in London, there really is a majority of decent, respectful people in the United Kingdom.

Anyway, the location is pretty easy really. (There is actually a caving connection, although admittedly a bit tenuous.) Go on, someone please post where it is.

That's the summit of Whernside I think. SO is the caving connection "The Manor"?

That's a great answer - yes, I was thinking of Whernside Manor in its heyday, down in Dentdale to the right but also just over the horizon on the left is the catchment for the longest (and arguably the finest) cave system in the United Kingdom.

Absolutely not. (Your words, not mine.) Look at how today's news has panned out and you might better understand the above. In fact, if I lived near London I might have been tempted to join the cease fire protest, which has been peaceful so far (as far as I can tell) and has respectfully not gone near the Cenotaph.

I am longing for the day when we learn that that cease fire has finally happened.
