I remember when many years ago, we were staying at The Sunday School in LLangattock, and the well-meaning mother of a caver had kindly prepared a chilli (IIRC) for us to heat up when we got there. She also supplied a large bag of rice, which she felt would complement her dish. None of us had a clue how to cook rice, so we just bunged it all in a big pot & put it on to boil. Not appreciating how much it swelled...

We ended up filling as many pots as we could find in the place and ended up feeding most of it to the chickens who used to wander about outside. The rice wasn't properly cooked, so after a while the poor hens began to look rather bloated and slow. I don't think we actually killed any, but they weren't very well.

No one fancied the Vagina sponge cake advertised on the chalk board at the fountains cafe in ingleton once upon a time.

Yorkshire pudding have traditionally been eaten either savoury or sweet.

Best with savoury vinegar (either blackberry or raspberry) and lashings of sugar.  Can also be eaten with lemon juice and sugar, similar to pancakes.

This thread was brought to my attention and felt necessary to make my findings known...

Warning - Tesco's "Wicked Purple Rice"

Think that this can't taste as bad as it looks? Think again - want to know what "wrong" tastes like? Bored? Go for it - will remain the worst thing I've put in my mouth until such time as I'm incarcerated in Pirate Jail.
