Wolfscote Dale

Walking past the obvious caves at the top of Wolfscote Dale on Sunday I poked my nose into this one;

There's two or three little climbs inside leading up to the right which end in a body size tube which seems to continue. Anyone been up it? How far does it go? I was on my way to lunch in Hartington so didn't want to get too muddy! Must have been fairly near the surface of the top of the cliff though.

Hey-up,

I climbed quite a way up this in '82. I can't remember how far it goes but it was a fair way up. It doesn't have a name, it's just known as "the rift cave round the crag from Frank i'th rocks Cave"! Could be worth a proper look, although it was full of bats when I went so best to pick the right time.

Didn't see any bats when I was there, there was a can of special brew at the furthest point I reached though  :yucky:. I bought it out with me  :halo:.
