World Soil Day

Today is World Soil Day.

If you like eating food, drinking clean water, and breathing oxygen then you have soil to thank.

This mix of minerals, animals, plants, fungi, bacteria, and protists supports pretty much everything that lives on land.

It?s so ubiquitous that most people pay no attention to it. It is wonderful, fascinating, fragile, and definitely needs looking after.​
