Accommodation
Please note that there is no special provision for visiting cavers
during Mendip Caving 2003. This is because ample bunk space is available
in the local caving clubs, and there is a commercial campsite ideally
situated closeby. Visiting cavers seeking accommodation or campsites are
advised to contact the following-

Mendip Heights Campsite
Mendip Nature Research Committee
Wessex Cave Club
Bristol Exploration Club
Cerberus Speleological Society
Mendip Caving Group TimF@bjm.co.uk
Shepton Mallet Caving Club - Hayley Clark, tel: 01722 710216

Caving
There will not be any organised caving sessions but local cavers will be
available to advise on Mendip systems. Tony Jarratt invites visiting
cavers to come digging on Sunday - or possibly even to look at his major
new discovery (if he's found it by then).

Food
Pub grub available in the Hunter's Lodge during opening hours. Snacks
in the village hall both days - including breakfast rolls. Buy-by-the-
burger-Barbecue on Saturday night. Pub meals in local Inns if the food
runs out!

Advance Booking
Most of the events do not need to be pre-booked and have a small ‘on
the door' entry fee . The only exception is trips into St Cuthbert's
Swallet - these are usually very popular so you are advised to seek out
the BEC leaders/organisers as soon as possible. (small tackle fee).
