Bit cheeky, using the forum but i have to go to a wedding in Cong with the Family, all the hotels are booked and the B&B's want best part of ?400 for 4 nights.  Any ideas where there might be some accommodation locally that isn't going to break the bank! 

Cong isn't really a low budget tourist destination, there's no hostel or the likes about that I know of. You could try heading a few km west to Clonbur or beyond and getting a BnB there. If there's a few of you then you might be able to rent a holiday home west of Cong reasonably cheap.
