Another method to locate caves from your chair...

...comes with 2014 download of Google Earth.  Writer has used the street level 360 degree viewing
to locate cave and mine entry as if seen by passing vehicles.  When asked for direction by others I
obtain scheduled bus route numbers, public-use parking, or railway stations found near cave or mine
using the Google Earth provided resources.  See local knowledge often not in view of road travel.
Suggest an initial search for limestone quarry as the light colored stone within large works is easier
to locate than scattered bedrock exposure.  Also find sea caverns by following UK coastline.  Scotland
has Smoo Cave NW if Leinnmore and Talmine Tunnel E of Midfield on the northern Scottish coast.
