Any recommendations? and what is the permit/permissions system out there actually like?

A number of expeditions to the south of Belize were undertaken by the SWCC.
A very useful website was compiled, but now offline. You can browse a capture of the website on the WayBackMachine.

Good timing I’m in the process of putting the website back on line and putting the survey data into the cave registry
