• Help us work out the future of the Inglesport Café

We've been trading since 1977 and next year will be our 50th anniversary.

The café has been part of that for a long time, running quietly in the background for years, and we don't think it always gets the credit it deserves as a genuine community hub. But we need to be straight with you: the café is under real pressure, and we’re not sure of the best path forward.....

'Darkness'

Did any of you see the programme 'Darkness' on the Discovery Channel last night?
The concept was to put 3 people into a disused mine near Death Valley, California without lights, food or water. They had 6 days to find a stash of food and then find their way out, something like 4 miles away from where they went in. They were filmed with uv cameras, both static and hand-held by silent cameramen.
There were glitches in continuity which made me think it wasn't completely genuine.
Perhaps it would have been better entitled 'Pointless'.
