The New Inn, Clapham
« on: October 24, 2018, 03:47:45 pm »
This seems to have passed UK Caving by, but the New Inn in Clapham has recently changed hands and things are looking up for the caving fraternity!

It was sold by Enterprise Inns to new owners, and they have stated a wish to get it back to what it was like before the previous regime. Cavers (and walkers, and bikers, and even locals!) are being encouraged to return and there appears to be a real wish to get it back to being part of the community rather than the expensive bistro hotel it had become. Its in its early days but the signs are good - we are promised better (and cheaper!) beers, better value meals, and a generally better atmosphere.

Give it a try next time you are up in the area!
Plateaus are the highest form of flattery.
