York CC and NYMCC members continue to explore Excalibur Pot and it still keeps surprising us! Recently a good sized new chamber (for the NY Moors!) has been discovered, complete with some nice formations. We'd been walking underneath it for the best part of 10 years! The cave system is now going on for 3km and keeps slowly expanding.
Water tracing also continues in an effort to unlock some of the unanswered questions of what happens in the empty area between the end of the cave and the resurgence over 1km away. The current theory is that there is an entire other cave system below what we already know. The question is, can it be accessed or is it too under-developed?
