    An informative discussion

Recently there was long thread about the BCA. I can now post possible answers to some of the questions, such as "Why is the BCA still raising membership prices when there is a significant amount still left in its coffers?"

I'm sorry to report that Harry Pearman recently died on Feb 26th.  Harry was one of the founder members of Chelsea Spel?ological Society (having started his caving with the scouts in London) and was the driving force behind the CSS Records series documenting all the known Caves and Tunnels in S.E. England.  Harry was also a member of Kent Underground Research Group and Subterranea Britannica.

As some of you may know Harry was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2003 and wife Heather tells me Harry managed to cope well but that in the last few years the disease was getting particularly bad.  Harry's funeral will take place in S.E. London on the afternoon of March 22nd.  Heather asks for no flowers but if you would like to donate, please do to Parkinson's UK (https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/) in his memory.
