Whoever left their trainers and socks at the Crummack Lane parking, they are now in the BPC (right by the lockers at the entrance on your r.h.s.).

I hope they actually belong to a caver, but I don't see who else would take their trainers and socks off there.

A walker, fell runner, mountain biker ... surely much more likely (or are the trainers 20 years old and falling to bits? If so, guaranteed to be a caver!)
