Bonnie Dobson singing her song Morning Dew backed by Danny Thompson and Robert Plant. This is the best version of a much covered song IMHO. It's on Youtube.
 
There's Eric Bogle's other classic war song to consider, "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda", as covered by the Pogues and many others....
 
Is that really Lemmy Kilminster singing that 1916 song?

I'll look on Motorhead's music in a slightly different way in future.
 
On a different note, does anyone else remember the late "Big Roy" Mundy singing The Green Fields Of France from time to time in the New Inn at Clapham, with great feeling?

It certainly is Lemmy - he could step outside of his usual territory when he wanted to, but he didn't often feel the urge which is a bit of a shame, I wonder what else he might have come up with.
