In a similar, but far sillier vein are the mighty but hilarious Phluph, one the Boston 'Bosstown' bands of the late psych 60s. I'm sure their 'machine' is an allegory of some sort. Though looking at them, I'm not sure if they ever even did 'fly' in it, unlike the Floyd, and were probably mere fashionable poseurs. There's rarely a second album with these bands :)
