Ladders on eBay
« on: October 28, 2019, 09:48:08 pm »
There's a couple of electron-style ladders going on eBay at the moment. What sort of prices do these things tend to go for?  :)

[Edit: it's not my listing and I'm not in the market, so no conflict of interest, I'm just interested]

Depends on the length, but more if the sale finishes during evenings or weekend & if someone tells other interested parties...

They seem to be buying & selling a lot of random stuff.

Just found a couple more on there that have starting prices nearly 10 times that of the first one!

All of the Ebay examples look to be royally knackered out.

I would avoid SH wire ladders.
The wires can rust inside the aluminium rungs, not obvious until the thing fails.
Glad NAMHO 2019 over.

Thanks for the advice, I'm always wary of buying second hand gear that I can't inspect in person, but it's good to know that it's hard to inspect ladders regardless!

Or make your own, it's not too hard. my first attempt had an 'automatic descend' feature where the rung you were standing on slowly made it's way down the wire
